Stable Pipelines?!
I dunno who reads my little journal etc… but I would really like to find out… firstly I would be keen to know if you too work in GameDev? Secondly if you experience similar problems or if you have techniques or system in place that could help others?! So, this is a bit of a request to leave comments on this blog!!! Thanx
At present I spend loads of time back and forth, in and out of the engine checking art, and error checking at the same time. But lately another annoyance has cropped up. Things that have been in the engine for weeks, if not months, functioning perfectly, suddenly begin freaking out?! I will admit, sure I made a minor change to them, but pushing collision polygons (in location x..) one unit further in, shouldn’t have further reaching problems in terms of rendering (in location y..), etc. I unfortunately cannot mention specifics, due to the project I am working on…. but it all seems a bit odd.
Another thing that should be taken into account here, is that at the same time, the engine is being worked on & improved from a programming side… so anything is possible really!
